Fabric Requirements
Cuffs require a knit fabric with at least 50% stretch and excellent recovery.
Cassia is a slim fit cardigan meant to layer over tanks, tees, and lightweight blouses. If you are intending to layer over a thicker top, or if your fabric is thicker, it is recommended to size up.
Measurements are in yards and based on 56” wide fabric. Yardage assumes that your fabric has been prewashed and preshrunk. Extra fabric may be required for matching prints, directional fabric, or if you need to add length. For sizes 24-28 ankle lengths, I highly recommend you use 58-60" wide fabric. It IS possible to cut an ankle length bodice/band from 56" fabric, but there is no room for shrinkage or error.

For Buttons/Snaps: Featherweight interfacing (such as Pellon P44F): 1/2 yard (.5m) to 1 yard (.9m) depending on interfacing WOF, hem length chosen, and how many buttons/snaps you wish to add. How many buttons/snaps you will need is based on cardigan length, spacing, and personal preference.
For Pocket options: 1/2 yard lightweight knit interfacing (such as Pellon EK130). This is optional but HIGHLY recommended if your fabric is unstable. The interfacing will keep your pocket from stretching out.
Optional but VERY helpful: Lightweight clear elastic such as Mobilon for shoulder seams, back neck line, sleeveless arm opening, and any other seams that need stabilization. Wonder Tape for pocket options.
