I've actually had this pattern in the back of my mind for YEARS. But, like most things, too many ideas and not enough time! The timing finally all meshed, and I am so excited to share this pattern with you. Let's take a wander through all of our testers' marvelous makes!
My sample on the left, I kept simple. This is the crop version, solid and out of some kind of poly blend from Joann I've probably had since before the dawn of time. Then I moved on to a sample of the dress version with the color blocking (on the right). This one is a rayon spandex. Mine are all size 8.
Once I was certain the pattern was good to go, I broke into a long stashed panel. As far as I know, this company is no longer in business, so I guard my hoarded fabric fiercely. The color block dress version is SO PERFECT for a panel. This one is in bamboo.
Let's get to it, shall we?
Lindsay made a size 2 in cotton lycra.
Jesara made a size 4 in cotton lycra.
Caity made a size 4 in a stretch mesh upper, and modal bottom.
Sierra made a size 4 in three versions. Left to right: French terry (black), rib knit (gray), and a rib knit/DBP combo (hood).
Michele made two size 6s. The red tank is a rib knit. The hooded version is a poly blend.
Ada made a size 6 in cotton lycra.
Jennifer made a size 6 in a rib knit.
Jessica made a size 8 in cotton lycra.
June made a size 8FBA graded to a 16, both in cotton lycra.
Ashley made a size 8 in three versions. The top version (Star Wars) and bottom left are both made with an athletic upper, with a cotton lycra bottom. The bottom right (floral) is an athletic fabric.
Carmen made a size 10 with bullet and DBP.
Athena made a size 10FBA with DBP.
Jessica made two versions, both size 10 in DBP.
Lorene is planning a vacation and made herself a wardrobe!! All in a size 10. The top row are crops. The left two are mystery knit, and the right is a poly spandex.
The dress on the left is rayon spandex, right is ITY.
Pamela made three versions, all with a stretch lace upper, in a size 10FBA.
Anna made two versions in a size 12. The left (top) is cotton lycra, and the right (dress) is a bamboo.
Yvonne made three versions in a size 14. From left to right: DBP, ITY, and jersey.
Becky made three versions in a size 14 FBA. The tank on the left is a rib knit. The top on the right is DBP. The beautiful dress version below is also a DBP.
Tasha made three versions in a size 16FBA. The top on the left is a DBP. The hooded version on the right is cotton lycra and bamboo lycra.
This insanely cool dress version is all cotton lycra: a panel for the front and two coordinates for the back.
Holly made a size 16/26 with a rayon spandex.
Amy made a size 18/26 in cotton lycra.
Last, but most certainly not least, Stephanie made her lovely size 18/28 top out of a jersey swiss dot. That pattern matching!
